procurement of all IT related products, including infrastructure contracts for telecom, network infrastructure, and desktops/laptops.

Handled two office moves, first from the Galleria to Downtown in 1998, then from Downtown to mid-

town in 2013. Both moves were seamless to the user, with all services back up and running by Monday morning.

Created custom reports for the sales department in 2002, replacing inefficient spreadsheets with server based database reports using Crystal Reports and Java. These reports more than doubled efficiency in the sales department.

Migrated mail system from CC:mail to Novell GroupWise in 2004.

Migrated mail system from GroupWise to Google Apps in 2011.

Migrated phone system from antique Nortel system to VOIP Mitel system in 2012.

Phased out Novell system, replacing authentication with Active Directory and storage with FreeNas in 2014. This setup saved the company many thousands of dollars by eliminating the need for a Microsoft license at each desktop. System was housed in a VMware server, reducing necessary space in the server room by 80%, which allowed for the move into a smaller office space.

Accepted the position of Regional IT Manager by accepting training and backup support for the Dallas office in 2007.

Began handling training and backup support for the Kansas City, St Louis, and San Francisco offices in 2008.

Implemented disaster recovery plan for Hurricanes and other natural disasters. Maintained business continuity during Hurricane Ike by implementing plan which included generator power, relocation of key personnel with remote systems in place, and backup and recovery operations.

Managed Backup system for the entire organization using Commvault backup and recovery system. Backed up locally and over the WAN to a colo facility.

Helped IT team support a 200 user Novell, Windows, and Linux environment.

Helped design installment agreements that users were to sign when receiving a new desktop, reducing errors and oversights in the process.

This batch program was implemented at two other GE Capital facilities in 1996.
