ACCOMPLISHMENTS
•Managed test team for Wolters Kluwer Expere (WKFS) Blitzdocs (Xerox) and NetOxygen (WGS) integration. Tested mortgage documents and mortgage workflow.
•Created and implemented changes in the digital X-ray software company (PACS) around from 13 straight years of sales losses to 3 straight profitable years and industry dominance. Developed a complete FDA compliance program for a medical device company and received 510K pre-market approval. Tested, implemented, and released a quarterly basis an X-ray viewing program with no critical bugs and fewer than 3 trivial bugs per release.
• Performed online trading growth for Chicago Mercantile Exchange such that their online trading went from 15% to 75% of total trades in under 2 years while adding $9 billion in liquidity in the marketplace annually.
• Created, devised, presented and received approval for the long-range strategy for the implementation of Technology in Training for 15 nuclear power plants in North America.
• Managed projects for Discover with onshore (unit/functional testing) and offshore (UAT) teams resulting in increased profits and greater market share. Introduced automated testing techniques and increased test sizes to reduce risk.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Quality Assurance
•Led a QA team of twenty four testers and created / maintained all compliance records per the SEC/FDA.
•Utilized Bugzilla to track all bugs and enhancements for a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Python) based client server digital X-ray viewing system.
•Created automated test programs to cover regression testing (RFT and eggplant).
•Tested financial decision engine for determining credit cards applications using SAS/SQL
•Planned and managed the Implied Butterfly (code name Eagle 2.0) project for QA. Managed process to automate testing which had never before been done and tested the product such that on release there were no QA bugs and the software stayed in production. No Eagle release has ever been that successful.
Completed 8 separate projects in a row on time and under budget, which were delivered to production without 0 errors. No group has ever been able to do more than 2 projects on time without errors.
Development
•Led a team of programmers to create digital X-ray viewing software in Java and on Objective C for iPad.
•Developed a fully independent X-ray viewer that works on a thumb drive alone.
•Created a method to view all stored disaster recovery X-ray images in the cloud.
•Developed a database using .Net for the Will County State’s Attorney as a Witness Notification System.
Tied the database of all upcoming trials and required police officer attendance to an ASP/Web portal allowing access (via password) to all Will County police departments to view their court dates.
•Created a database driven website for Park Districts (Mokena, and Tinley Park) which allows them to place their catalogs online and makes them interactive. This system allows more time for staff to manage the site instead of managing customers thereby reducing calls by 25%.
Training
•Developed and delivered training for Midwest Generation’s Project Management department on good project management techniques along with the use of MS Project.
•Taught courses for JJC and DeVry in the following subjects: Database development, Fortran, Basic networking, MS Office, A+, Operations Strategy, Project Management, Web Design.
IT Project Management
•Selected and installed Salesforce at Medstrat crating a more effective sales management and prospecting tool which directly increased revenues by 12%.
•Managed the CTO responsibilities for Joliet Junior College. The college had over 13,000 students and 3,000 PCs – UNIX, XP, Mac, and a VAX mini.
•Managed the corporate data center for ComEd (IBM DASD, StorageTek silos, IBM mainframes)
•Created, devised, presented and received approval for the long-range strategy for Training incorporating the use of the following: WBT/CBT, Distance Learning, and Learning Portals. Developed the five-year business plan with an estimated $13 million outlay.
