In securing the detention facility radios must be functioning and properly used when assigned. The function of the portable radio shall be only used to:

Facilitate communication between the resident escort staff and specified location.

To ensure that should any emergency situation or problem arise there is immediate access to a Supervisor.

Special Officer must have a radio to secure detention and is also as part of their equipment.

Special Officer must function the Control Room which is equipped with; Cameras, facility keys, phones, documents files and Residence Visitation Information.
