Laboratory Assistant August 2013 – June 2014
Working closely with mechanical engineers in order to provide expertise and technical advice of hydraulic systems to external customers, engineers, researchers or colleagues. To this end, my duties were:
* Designing hydraulic systems for pumping fluids such as water or oils. Likewise, assessing the performance of pumps with the goal of avoiding unnecessary maintenance, damages by cavitation or leaks within hydraulic systems.
* Supporting the development of deadlines or schedules related to the experiments carried out within the laboratory.
* Assisting and providing maintenance to hydraulic turbines. In this sense, the analysis of operating principle of a Francis turbine was carried out.
* Complying with the standards of maintenance of turbo-machines, measurement instruments and working tools.
