Project Summary: Built Virtual Data center, centered around VMWare and Windows Server 2008, Configured Windows Forest root domains, child domains, installed 6 Certification Authority Server, Remote Desktop license server for multi-access connection, support of IIS 2008, all from within Virtual VMware environment. This product had to be replicated five times.
Team’s objective, install 40VMware ESXi host, to meet project summary and implement Windows servers 2008 R2: AD for supporting various Window roles
Configured domain replication, port blocking security and GPO security on object level.
Wrote shell script to automate A/D group migration and security policies.
Forest automation population is handled through WSUS for forest-wide Microsoft updates, ADMT tools and Powershell scripting, accomplished auto-populate of Users and groups.
Install Rsyslog Agent on Windows servers for transmittal of event logmessage over TCP to Rsyslog server.
Server 2008 registry re coded to exclude w32tm forNTP time stamp and to resolve time sync from VMware Servers.
Wrote technical documentation on all Window servers’ configurations and features applied.
