WORK EXPERIENCE

January 2015 - up to date

I’m working as an Associate Specialist in Cristina Davis’ BioMems Group (UC Davis, CA, USA). My primary focus is to mentor master and PhD student and lead new metabolomics projects related with breath samples

February 2012 – December 2014

I’m working as a post-doctoral fellowship in Cristina Davis’ BioMems Group (UC Davis, CA, USA). My primary focus as an analytical chemist is to lead projects and develop and apply algorithms to preprocess and analyze metabolomic data (plants, animals and humans) from different biosensors (GCDMS) and chemical analysis machines such as GC/MS, LC/MS.

February 2009 – February 2012

I worked at Shirota Functional Foods. S.L (Reus, Spain). Startup I had a Post-doctoral fellowship from Spanish government Torres Quevedo

“Development of functional foods by bioinformatics techniques”. I applied bioinformatic tools to biological data and using virtual screening methodologies (structure based, ligand-based, QSAR, data analysis).

February 2007- January 2009

I worked at Dow Chemical S.L. (SPAIN) as an analytical/chemometric specialist. Development/management/improvement/validation of new methodologies in an analytical laboratory and applying chemometrics tools in different projects (PAT).

January 2006- September 2006

Post-doctoral contract in the University Rovira i Virgili. I was working at Nanosensor group research giving support to new PhD students

EDUCATION

January 2006 PhD in chemistry (chemometrics), “Multivariate curve resolution applied to sequential injection data. Analysis of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid”, Rovira i

Virgili University, Tarragona (SPAIN)

2001- 2003 Master in Biochemistry, Rovira i Virgili University, Tarragona, Spain
