Company profile : Wheels India is promoted by the TVS Group and was started in the early 60's

to manufacture automobile wheels. Today, Wheels India has grown as a leading manufacturer of

steel wheels for passenger cars, utility vehicles, trucks, buses, agricultural tractors and construction

equipment in India. The company supplies 2/3rd of the domestic market requirement and exports

18% of the turnover to North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and South A.The Company also have

Worked in Sigma Moulds & Stamping Pvt. Ltd as a Jr. Engineer since Sept. 2005 to July

2009.

Job Responsibilities

Maintaining ISO & TS 16949 Documents & Incoming, In process & PDI quality.

Handling customer complaints and quality problems and take Corrective & preventive action

at our end.

Discussion with customers & vendors for quality issues.

Assist Suppliers to establish Quality Management Systems in order to limit incoming

rejections and to support customer quality specifications.

Knowledge of Special processes like Welding shop, Press shop, assembly shop, Pre Treatment,

CED, Top coat etc.

Developing of Jigs / Fixtures, Final inspection gauges to improve productivity & full proofing

techniques in co-ordination with Production department.

Introducing new methods and system to improve quality.

Participating in analysis of major rejections, determining reasons for, recommending corrective

action.

Analyzing current product specifications to determine present standards and establishing

quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.

Communicate daily QC reports to concerned functions.

Downgrading/ disposal of off-grade materials.

Issue of all quality system documents as well as SOP/ Work instruction / Control Plan and

process related documentations .etc.

Organizing internal audit & trainings on process & safety.

Verify & Sample Approval of new developed products.

Preparation of inspection layout as per Drawings, Standards & specifications.

Vendor Development., visits, Audit & evaluation, focusing on defects of IQC & Line

rejection.

ICQ, considering material flow, material handling & PPAP.

Daily & Monthly Quality Review meeting.

Calibration of measuring & testing equipments.

Good Communication & proficiency in computer.

QC circle Project, third party inspection, monthly Q-meeting, Co-ordinate with design &

purchase

Good knowledge of SAP.

Knowledge of 7QC tools PPAP,SPC,MSA,FMEA,APQP etc.

Achievements:

Reduced Rejection From 12000 PPM to 100 PPM,

Increased First Pass Yield From 90% to 98%

Improved Process Capability.

Reducing Customer Complaints from 1000 PPM to 300 PPM
