Hunter A. Borchardt
My education is my greatest accomplishment as well as my greatest strength. I
ACCOMPLISHME
attended college, and completed my first two years at Midlands Technical College
NTS
in the Computer Science Bridge Program with every intention of continuing on to
complete my bachelor’s degree at USC. I never completed my degree due to the
difficult loss of my father, and the period of financial difficulty that followed. I initially
felt trapped by my lack of formal education, but I shortly realized that my formal
education had little to do with the skills and knowledge I had actually acquired
during my college career.
The fact is, the bulk of my study was independent, and was completed on my own
time. The classes I took were just a framework for the hours of study that I would
complete on my own. They merely provided guidelines for what I needed to know
to complete the course, and make good grades. After this realization, I have
continued to pursue my scholastic goals as well as my career goals regardless of
the status of my degree.
