ACADEMIC/NON-ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Performance Analysis of SPEC2006 SimPoints Based on Cache Memory AND TLB Characteristics December 2014

In a group of 2, analyzed the performance of SPEC 2006 Benchmarks by using the generated simulation points.

The benchmarks were tested for various cache configurations and TLB characteristics. The results of the performance

analysis based on original benchmarks and the simulation points were compared and the results were published.

Image Processing, Edge Detection and Feature Extraction in MATLAB September-December 2014

Various image processing techniques implemented as different projects were carried out in MATLAB.

Image smoothing, Noise reduction, Filtering(in spatial and frequency Domain), Restoration, Edge Detection and feature

extraction were some operations carried out on a given corrupted image.

802.11ac: A study on the latest 802.11 Wireless LAN Technology March-April 2014

A study based presentation about the bandwidth requirements, Channel width, and Frequency and Modulation techniques

of the Very High Throughput Technology.

Implemented a Monte-Carlo Simulation for comparison of performances of 80MHz and 40MHz channels over varying

number of busy channels.

Control of a Remote Area Process January-April 2013

Guided a team of four in the design of a circuit that helps monitor and control a remote area process.

The objective of this project is to control a remote process (flow of crude oil in a pipeline) and to monitor its temperature

and pressure variations. The control overall is established via a mobile phone using GSM technology.

ON/OFF Control of a Load April 2012

A non-academic project that performed On/Off control of a load using Dual Tone Multi -frequency Circuit(DTMF)

In a group of 2, used a cell-phone call based interface, to enable the control of a load from a far -off location.
