Terminal Manager

Managed daily production of asphalt and emulsion products, loading and unloading of trucks,

unloading of railcars and plant maintenance with primary emphasis on safety.

Documented all site specific Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and Standard Operating Procedures

(SOPs) for compensation and Line of Progression program for all plant operations personnel.

Managed both operations and capital budgets in excess of 5.6 million dollars, and served as

project manager on new tank installation project completed under 1.5 million dollar budget.

Ensured that all customer needs were exceeded for on-time project deliveries including

meeting specifications and temperature requirements.

Ensured that plant Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) and Hazardous

Materials Plan (HMP) were up to date and filed with appropriate agency per requirements.

Built successful relationships with Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District

(SMAQMD), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Environmental

Protection Agency (EPA) to ensure plant exceeded all regulatory guidelines.

Managed daily load out duties, asphalt scheduling and production plans of two onsite asphalt

plants, portable rubber asphalt plant, the scale house and stockpiles of materials.

Supervised over 30 union personnel on a daily basis, including the development and

implementation of man-power assignments based on daily production schedules.

Successfully served as project m anager during construction of new rubber asphalt plant

completed under budget of 3.2 million dollars.

Ensured that all customer needs were exceeded when shipping product including: correct

tonnage, contract accuracy, and within shipping specifications.

Ensured all aspects of safety were met by plant personnel, and cultivated dynamic and strong

working relationships with SMAQMD, OSHA, Miner Safety Health Agency (MSHA) and EPA

Manager, Packaging, Shipping and Receiving

Managed packaging, shipping and receiving departments and supervised over 50 union

personnel on a daily basis.

and the annual Biennial Inspection of Terminals (BIT) program for the plant’s truck fleet.

Managed daily inventory of two 60,000 square foot warehouses and plant’s damage and loss
