. Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy during in-house and mass/mobile
blood donation.
. Perform screening of potential blood donors during in-house and
mass/mobile blood donation.
. Act as receptionist in accepting blood request from walk-in
customers and walk-in blood donors.
. Receive phone calls for reservation of blood units and other
blood service related inquiries.
. Blood dispensing to walk-in customers under the supervision of
the medical technologist.
. Performs other task that the chapter administrator or quality
assurance officer will assign to. But only limited to the scope
of the improvement of the blood service activities.
. Contacts different civic organizations, companies, schools and
universities, government agencies and churches and other
religious organizations regarding mass blood donation by
telephone, in person, or by mail to solicit blood donations
from employees or members.
. Contacts and visits prospective donor groups to explain
requirements and benefits of participation in Mass Blood
donation.
. Arranges specific date of blood collection for blood-donor
group and confirms appointment in writing and phone calls.
. Conducts pep talk on voluntary blood donation, distributes
promotional material and uses audio-visual aids to motivate
groups to participate in Mass Blood Donation.
. Prepares reports of blood-donor programs and recruitment
activities.
. Encode Blood Donors Lists, Blood Donors Deferral Lists and
allblood related files on its database.
