PROJECT DETAILS

Project Title PRIORITY SCHEDULER FOR A REAL TIME POWER

ALLOCATION –

A HYBRID MODEL

Description This paper proposes a new scheme where in the consumers are

provided a time based priority based on their nature.

Commercial consumers are given priority during 9.00am to

6.00pm and home consumers are provided priority between

6.00pm to 9.00am and so on. In any case the power to any

consumer is never cut off totally. This requires the replacement

of the existing energy meters by an embedded controller

capable of receiving real time instructions from an EB office at

any point of time using a wireless link. The device has power

cut off feature and also a display and an alarm built with it. The

result with and without priority scheduling is discussed in the

paper.
