Professional Experience
Senior Integration Engineer
Mitem Corporation - Menlo Park, California
September 2005 to Present Full-Time
I oversee the design, planning, and coding of all bi-directional interfaces for the eLaborate product. This
includes EMR, LIS, HIE, and Full EHR Integrations utilizing our EDI engine to format HL7 messages. I have written
interfaces to connect with a wide variety of systems including but not limited to Sunquest, Nextgen, GE Centricity,
AllScripts, Meditech, and Tamtron. I also fulfill the Project Manager role for large projects as needed. My
responsibilities include designing the interfaces that connect with external systems, as well as coding client specific
data elements to fit our specifications. I am also responsible for writing the technical specifications for our interfaces,
aiding in the design of our product enhancements, and doing the data analysis of our client specifications to determine
the costs and effort involved. I meet regularly with clients and provide 24x7 third tier support as needed. I also set up
SFTP, LLP, or any other required connectivity to allow for HIPAA Compliant data transfers to occur.
Integration Engineer
Zix Corporation - Round Rock, Texas

software. I developed the technical procedures used to deploy the Dr Chart web application for more than 30 Hospit al
implementations. I handled client relations from Project manager down through technical and support staff. Trained Dr
Chart support personnel to handle first and second tier support. Also trained Dr Chart implementation team members
and supervised all hospital implementations. I deployed more than 340 Service packs over 5 different product versions
in just 2005 alone. I trained our clients in use of interface components, and monitoring of applications and also
performed EHR Integrations. Set up of Microsoft SQL Servers and Windows 2000/2003 Internet Information Servers
to house Dr Chart lab software. Provided 3rd tier support to client’s 24x7 via telephone, VPN, and remote access.
Supervised configuration and planning of remote access to client sites including VPN and dial up. I was also
responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of lab interface components connecting hospitals to labs over VPN
and dial up solutions. Responsible for verification of data integrity during the conversion process from client preferred
HL7 medical reporting format to standard Dr. Chart Web application format. Designed and implemented our
Datacenter move from Dallas, TX to Edgewater, MD, transitioning our ASP hosted customers with minimal or no
service interruption.
I.T. Consulting – Owner
LMN Byrne LLC. - Yardley, Pennsylvania
January 1995 to Present Part-Time
I formed an LLC. in 2004 doing side consulting work outside of my normal working business hours, to
supplement my income when my primary employment had a slow down. I specialize in providing support, project
management, and all technical services for my clients. I/We offer most any technical services, from on-premise wiring
to simple cell phone configuration. I provide technical support for my clients’, using a combination of phone, in-
person, or remote access as each situation prescribes. I advise my clients in areas ranging from day-to-day best
practices, to large-scale Active Directory deployments with all associated equipment, software, and vendor research or
procurement. I also research and advise my clients as to the correct products and services as necessitated. My clients
rely on my experience and judgment for all their technical needs, and when required I will organize a team of vendors,
experts, and specialists to develop and manage a project plan from beginning to a production rollout. I have done this
many times for many clients, and see it as a primary responsibility to my customers.
