Soccer Stadium “Jose Encarnacion Pachencho Romero”
Responsibility: Execute and supervise the design and construction activities in accordance to construction
drawings, procedures, standards and specifications.
Project Highlights: accelerated the project completion by 4 weeks in spite of having to guide under qualified
workforce and dealing with labor union delay tactics.
a) The main phase of the project at the Maracaibo 41,000 capacity soccer stadium was the replacement
of 140 prefabricated reinforced concrete benches with a higher quality concrete utilizing a hundred
foot reach telescopy crane. The project also required the design a nd construction of the drainage
system for the stadium complex including a 4 hectares extension, and parking lot; and underground
outflow system routed under the stadium connecting to the City drainage system.
b) Design and construction a sanitary sewage collection system for a 500 student body school located
inside the Pachencho Romero sports complex.
c) Design and construction of the interior structure and superstructure of the 500 student body school
located inside the sports complex Pachencho Romero, using th e computer program STAAD PRO.
PROYESCO, Feb 2012 – April 2012
Construction Inspection Engineer
Responsible for the structural analysis of a 2 story structure required by the City prior to occupancy and
operation of the Maracaibo Regional Brewery.
SUMIPECA, May 2009 – December 2011
Construction Resident Engineer
Responsibility: Execution, supervision, permitting, inspection, procurement, payroll, and labor relations.
Project Highlights: The project was challenging because as built drawings were not avai lable and remodeling
decisions had to be made every step of the way upon discovery during demolition. Beside the obstacles, 30%
cost reduction was achieved for this project.
Three (3) projects executed were:

a) The project consisted of a fifteen (15) floor residential tower. Each floor has two (2) 240 mts
condominiums with HVAC ductwork, utility services and elevator access. The gated residential tower
complex included a roof deck pool, concrete paved parking lot for 120 automobiles, guardhouse,
garden areas, and sitting area with BBQ grills. The structure is reinforced concrete floor slabs and
beams, and concrete block walls with stucco exterior finish. The windows are swing type. The
bathrooms were finished with ceramic floor, showers and sanitary units. The utilities provided included
electricity, water tank storage, potable water, sewer and natural gas.

b) The second project consisted of a five (5) floor residential tower. Each floor has two (2) 70 mts and

one (1) 140mts condominiums with HVAC ductwork, utility services and elevator access. The gated
residential tower complex included a concrete paved parking lot for 16 automobiles, guardhouse,
garden areas, and sitting area with BBQ grills. The structure is reinforced concrete floor slabs and

OCONSA, C.A., April 2008 – April 2009

Responsibility: Execution, supervision, and inspection of the construction activities in accordance with the
construction drawings, procedures and specifications.
Project Highlights: Teamwork was vastly improved as a result of new work procedures established and the
project was completed ahead of schedule by 3 weeks. As result of the positive performance I was promoted to
a supervisory position.
