- Social Network Mining: Wrote crawler programs to craw data from a diabetes website and created different user
networks; Visualized and analyzed these networks to get characteristics and features of the diabetes social network.
And also compare the network in special area with normal social network like Facebook and Twitter.
- Red the Linux kernel code to learn IP communication. Developed a character kernel device driver to implement IP
packets sending/receiving between different hosts.
- Developed a user level thread library that supports preemptive scheduling, timer related functions for periodic
execution, mutex lock and unlock, and basic priority inheritance.

- Worked in a small team to develop Mainframe hardware configuration software on Windows OS. Mainly focused on
developing APIs on network layer to communicate with Mainframe I/O interfaces. And changed the whole project
from 32bit to 64 bit in latest release.
- Worked with engineers in US to develop an online workloads management system for global Mainframe team.

- Developed new game features for a famous MMORPG in China. For each game feature, programed on both client
and server sides. Mainly focused on game logic, network communication, server load balance, client data cache, etc.

- Designed and developed a SIP state machine to handle SIP session requests and calling events for Optical Network
Termination. Developed simple client software to test the SIP state machine.
- Worked in a small team to design and develop MSRP (Media Session Relay Protocol) protocol stack to provide
methods for MSRP application. Designed and developed the entire architecture of multiple threads application
server through which multiple SIP and MSRP transactions were processed.

- Worked in small team to design and develop VoIP (Voice over IP) software system. Mainly focused on SIP module
and application server development.
- Designed and developed an extended distributed OSGi architecture for implementation of SOA. Mainly focused on
developing new components and improving existed components to extend traditional OSGi as an architecture that
can be used for SOA implementation.
