Personal profile:

Upon leaving school I decided to conduct my higher education with the Royal

Navy, I was successful in completing a 4 year apprenticeship in Marine

engineering Electrical and then continued to serve for a further 6 year's

onboard Diesel electric and nuclear submarines. Upon leaving the Royal Navy

I returned to college to study HNC Mechatronics and successfully

established a career within the Semiconductor Industry. I have gained

valuable experience in the disciplines of equipment engineering and project

management. During my experience I have become a multi-skilled

professional, very self-motivated with strong supervisory skills, who is

helpful and supportive and can work well on my own or as part of a team. I

have developed excellent investigative and problem solving techniques which

I carry out in an analytical and resourceful manner. I am also pc

literate, quick to learn or develop new skills and very adaptable to

change. I also work very well under pressure.

. Part of a commissioning team responsible for the safe testing &

startup of all electrical equipment from 13.8KV Sub-stations,

switchgear, transformer's & equipment down to UPS and DC systems this

also includes the STG's, Main boilers and all associated BOP including

Desalination plant & equipment.

. Creating energisation, switching procedures for 13.8V & 4.16KV

Satellite Sub-stations and Skin effect heat tracing system

. Reviewing Turn-over to commissioning packages prior to client

approval.

. Working very closely with Construction teams to push completion dates,

punch-list closures and resolving any design issues to limit delays.

. Responsible for PTW, LOTO and SCC (Safety Clearance Certificates)

prior to the energizing of Electrical systems.

. Daily reporting to Senior Managers on Commissioning activities,

current issues with planned solutions/work around and Activity

schedule updates
