Project - Solutions for developing and deploying Work Force Management Projects for Global customers.

Role – Projects are usually developing and deploying the solutions for requirements across the Global customers for their

workforce working in different areas as a part of different requirements.

Project Description – Ericsson Managed Services Global Support & Operations team is an online 24 hours support team which

supports globally, caters to priority identified defects on SLA and also changes requests in solution. The team requires working on

tickets dealing with customization defects, profile defects, code additions or changes in solutions (using .NET code), rigorous

maintenance & monitoring activities, server building from scratch & additions, in depth troubleshooting of server or load balancer

issues, general troubleshooting network problems related to application, troubleshooting of application slowness variety troubles,

working along with vendor in activities suggested related to application internal suggestions w.r.t. maintenance & better operations

etc. and working with project teams to understand & further validate the changes progressing in production system process

wise(also work with project teams for better suggestions to maintain the system in case of defects or in general).

Role –

a) Solely responsible from operations team to work with project teams and understand the changes progressing to

production system in earlier of toll gates (communication made by project team when in design stage), understand if

these are not risky for the system or is an existing issue & send in confirmation as per the readiness process, review the

designs & technical details of the project, work with them for a User Acceptance Testing from operations side if required

in terms of preparing resources for knowledge & undergo testing, work with them for Operational Acceptance Testing on

the release date from operations side in terms of preparing resources with test cases & undergo the testing, taking

reviews from customers, highlight the risks in terms of all the teams, give the Operational feedback on OAT, running the

baby sitting period, getting the charge codes for people and as per the readiness procedure giving the feedback to

project & customers after baby-sitting period giving them approval of the project.

b) Worked single handedly on server building for both old and new systems using different software versions, OS versions

and dealing with server team both internal to Ericsson as well as external server vendors following all the guideline

procedures. Challenges are all in terms of technology, network, OS, server departments, network teams, troubleshooting

issues and raising servers in different dimensions & domains.

c) Code changes in .NET – WFM has a lot of interfaced .NET applications working on plethora of functionalities the major

ones like – integrating external systems using XML line of communication where .NET web application servers the entry

gateway to WFM, .NET web applications helping send SMS to vendors SMS gateway web service or emails through

SMTP, web applications fetching reports etc.

Responsibility to analyze, code and deploy any change requests as a result of defect or requested new functionality

single handedly mostly in integration with external systems where the changes as well as deployments are global. Also

The software caters the entire life cycle management of the field force entity who works for the customer’s telecommunication site

owner trouble tickets. The system is readily integrated with other ticketing systems, reporting interfaces, resolution systems,

functionality modules and customer interfaces. Work force management system here, works as one system globally in manual &

automated modes through scheduling the tickets, communicating to field workers on PDAs, tracking them on GPS, finding the

shortest way to the site on GIS and taking it through in the best optimized way, with saved time and step to step tracking.

Project - Migration from the entire old system(Click Service Optimization v7.5.) to newer infrastructure (version 8.0)

Responsibilities - Initial challenge was to understand, analyze and segregate the older customizations which were not out of the

box both from Click as well as from Ericsson and chart a plan to implement them in the newer release.

Gave knowledge transfer to the newly formed support team, test team and regular customer demos.

AH application is a web interface which helps integration of live system modules in setup of an integrated resolution, field

management, reporting and other functionalities system. Apart from integrating it also adds to different functionalities addition to

the system.

Requirement: - Project needed re-designing the architecture - the functionality modules had to be more independent of each

other, time wastage in code lines had to be reduced, code lines had to be lesser and the functionalities were to be unchanged.

The design needed to implement few more changes also with added functionalities with obviously including better coding

standards and nomenclature.

Responsibilities – Two member solution team with an external solution architect, we started with requirements and contributed

our own suggestive areas to the requirements designing them and taking them further with the consent of the SLCM & SSA build

team.

After everything sorted out and a requirement document completed, progressed with other prerequisites like design documents,

technical solution documents, unit test case documents etc.

Coded the solution in .NET 4.0 in a limited time period and got the code reviews completed.

Prepared the testing environment by configuring & and setting up first all the applications which are integrated with the WFM

system and then later tested them with the code in system integration testing stage by testers, followed by user acceptance

testing by customer and release of application after the defect fixing stage.

With final round of testing proceeding to final implementation in production followed by baby-sitting.

Project - This development was for official Adidas site which was running on ASP and needed some remodeling done. It needed

some web services in the site which should cater to 20 different languages. The site was re-built in C# .NET 3.5 and was

successfully launched.

Project - Getting the tasks automated using Microsoft SSIS

Apollo is a health care project catering a health insurance business being lead in various countries and client heading a lot of

development & maintenance projects in different technologies. The project needed packages designed, developed, configured,

deployed and scheduled for automating a scheduled work flow.

Tools & Technologies -SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence – SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

Role: 1) Worked as a sole SSIS developer

(Started development with no training given by the project and learning done independently).

2) Independent solution & resolution provider and resolved typical challenges during deployment & configuration of SSIS
