Project Work

• Design and development of Synchronous Motor control panel, including installation of the system.

Description: The project was aimed at modernizing our existing lab. A control panel consisting of metering, starter, switchgear for control and operation of 3 phase, 3KW, 415V synchronous machine was developed by our team and installed at the lab. Through this project I learnt the importance of networking with people, Project management, and Leadership skills.

• Automatic Irrigation Control System.

Description: Agricultural Irrigation requirements demand for an accurate and efficient supply of water to crops. Our project meets this demand at a lower cost and with simple, custom built electronic design. This project further promoted my project management skill.

• Design and development of single phase digital energy meter

Electrical Utilities require a sophisticated and advanced energy meter to measure and

display metrological parameters accurately, domestic meters that are immune to modern

methods of electricity pilferages .Our project fulfils this need using System on Chip (SoC) IC 71M6541 with meter reading accuracy of class 1 and includes additional features viz. optical communication, low power consumption, Operation in different power modes.

R oles and responsibility

I worked as intern at CD Adapco, Bangalore. The internship was aimed to learn a simulation

software called SPEED, widely used in Electric machine design. This internship gave me an

exposure to corporate environment.
