RELATED COURSE STUDY
. Telecommunications Capstone Class - In this project class I worked
with two other students to design a frame relay network for a
hypothetical company. In this class we used Cisco 2600 and 2800
series routers and switches, and a Cisco ASA firewall to build our
frame relay network along with the routing stations at the
hypothetical sites. We also used an open source VoIP server to
simulate VoIP capabilities throughout the network and Apache web
server to design a simple website.
. Wireless Communications - A senior level project class, I worked with
another student to design a RF Log Periodic Dipole Array antenna.
During this class we took design specifications given by the
instructor and built our antenna using copper and brass tubing.
. Digital Electronics II - In this class we used VHDL and Assembly
programming language to design different projects given by the
instructor. Our main project included a digital five-way traffic
light system.
. Data Communications - This was a series of three classes that included
signal analysis, modulation schemes, coding schemes, TCP/IP and OSI
models, Linux core systems, IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, IP addressing and
subnetting, configuring Cisco routers with VLANs and various specific
configurations, and various routing protocols such as OSPF, RIP, and
EIGRP along with their respective algorithms such as Bellman-Ford and
Dijkstra's.
