After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in
May 2014, I took a position with REHAU, Automotive LLC as a Product Engineer. REHAU, Automotive is a
Tier 1 automotive supplier that creates polymer-based innovations and systems for carmakers like BMW and
Mercedes. REHAU covers the entire value-creation chain, production and distribution logistics, and supplies
directly to the automobile manufacturers' facilities.
As a Product Engineer, I focus on achieving specifications and improving the quality of injection molded
bumpers and parts. My primary role is to continuously improve the injection molding process through detailed
modifications. I also work directly with suppliers and customers in order to ensure the production of
exceptional products in compliance with specifications established by management. Apart from my engineering
knowledge, I have excellent communication and leadership skills. I am a hard worker and consistently put forth
the extra effort to make my team’s goal a reality.
Although I do not have the requisite three years of experience, I do have two years of exceptional experience. I
am currently responsible for an entire bumper line, specifically Mercedes’ GLE Coupe 63. The bumper I
developed is for a high performance crossover SUV that is top of the line. The vehicle is expected to be worth
around $150,000. For this reason, my two years of experience and education make me uniquely qualified for
this position.
