To secure a senior technical position with a company who is seeking someone with strong managerial and problem

solving skills, along with extensive technical knowledge and expertise.

SUMMARY

With 18 years as IT Director at VAXA, I oversaw and applied technical solutions to resolve marketing, sales, and

distribution challenges that led to increased sales and reduced costs. My team was responsible for all aspects of IT,

ranging from setup and ongoing maintenance of a business, client / server network using Windows 2008 Server

with Active Directory to running cable for phones and data. We were responsible for data integrity and security as

well as generation of on-the-fly reports for sales teams and executives. I spearheaded two different software / data

conversions and dealt with all technical vendors. I also led a team that was responsible both SEO and PPC for

vaxa.com. I have a wide range of technical experience and have a unique ability to express technical concepts to

non-technical co-workers and clients.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

February 2008 – March 2015: IT Director, VAXA / Nutraceutical Inc., Tampa, FL

Promoted into managerial role and assisted in hiring IT department staff. VAXA expanded into retail sales and need

for IT support increased. Responsibilities included:

Setup, support, and maintenance of Windows Active Directory client/server network environment including both

thin and fat clients. Responsible for all facets of network including hardware, data, firewall and security, and in-

house e-mail.

Managing updates and all maintenance to servers and workstations for both hardware and software.

Managing and maintenance of SQL databases including pulling unique customer, product, and sales reports.

Implementation and management of a comprehensive security policy. Updates were made as threats evolved.

All implementation, programming, and processes on vaxa.com.

Additionally, I led a team that was given responsibility for VAXA’s retail web sales. Highlights include:

Created and maintained a PPC program, created web storefronts on amazon.com, and set up multiple channels to

funnel traffic and orders to vaxa.com, which resulted in monthly increases in revenue for 3 years.

We also revamped vaxa.com and created a separate sub-site that had a different look for PPC traffic.

A reseller MAP program was put into place to help capture online retail sales and to maintain price integrity.

August 1997 – February 2008: I.T. Director, VAXA, Tampa, FL

As the sole IT employee, my responsibility was to assure that all technology initiatives were met including:

Initial setup, support, and maintenance of Windows NT, 2000, 2003, XP client/server network environment

including both thin and fat clients.

Assisted in complete overhaul of vaxa.com. Responsible for the initial setup and complete implementation of

site designed in ColdFusion with a SQL back-end. This project increased sales by 700% first year.

Ongoing support and maintenance of in-house SQL 2005 database.

Responsible for managing in-house phone system, including system changes, call routing, and vendors.
