Medical Laboratory Technician, 08/2014-present

Perform diagnostic analysis of biological specimens in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology,

Immunology, and Urinalysis, including all aspects of analysis (specimen collection, receipt,

preparation, analysis, and reporting of results). Perform microscopic examination of various

specimens for identification of yeast, bacteria, and other microscopic elements. Routinely

maintain appropriate QC data specific for individual tests performed and ensures detected testing

errors are resolved and specimens are retested before results are reported. Experience on the

following instruments: Vitros 5600, Rapidpoint 405, Iris 200 Series, Stago, Beckman Coulter

DxH 800, Provue, Microscan, and Bactec. Experience in Phlebotomy working with patients of

all ages (newborn-geriatric patients) in a hospital setting. Work well under pressure and time

constraints within high-volume environments.
