Joulé Scientific Staffing Solutions
Rive Technology
Analytical Lab Technician 10/2014-02/2015
• Operated, maintained and be technically competent in various types of analytical instrumentation (ACE, GC, XRD, XRF) including
calibration and systems qualification in order to provide accurate and reliable data
• Prepared and analyzed samples by Advanced Cracking Evaluation (catalysts) and Probe Molecule Cracking (zeolites) as well as via XRD
and XRF, as necessary
• Conducted routine and non-routine statistical analyses of the process, formulations of the zeolites samples, quality standards and lab standard
to meet the project quality and timing needs
• Managed lab safety and industrial hygiene aspects, including knowing the proper waste disposal procedures; in order to maintain a highly
efficient and productive laboratory

ROJECTS
Acetic Acid Production, Chemical and Biochemical Design/Economics 09/2013-05/2014
Project Lead
• Designed a chemical plant in Aspen Plus that produces high purity acetic acid using natural gas and carbon monoxide with use of various
reactors, compressors, turbines, flash drums and distillation columns
• Researched on various methods of partial oxidation of natural gas to produce synthesis gas, electricity and methanol. Also researched on the
carbonylation process of methanol to produce acetic acid
• Evaluated economics of the plant including the fixed capital investment, equipment cost, working capital, production costs, depreciation, rate
of return and performed discounted cash flow analysis
• Prepared scientific reports on the design and the process of the chemical plant via multivariate analysis on products quality, quantity and
applicability as well as plant’s economics.
Optimization of Feedback Control in Fluid Catalytic Cracking Process 01/2014-05/2014
Project Lead
• Examined the uncontrolled response data via statistical analysis of temperatures in reactors, catalytic regenerators, and distillation columns
used to convert crude oil into more valuable products based on changes in air and catalyst flow rates
• Calculated the transfer functions that described the behavior of their respective systems and applied a proportional integral-derivative (PID)
controller to optimize the performance of the process
• Used Simulink modeling to duplicate the uncontrolled experimental data and ultimately determined the best temperature control regimen
for the process to maximize the yield of high value products
Ethylene Distillation Column, Design of Separation Processes 01/2013-05/2013
Project Lead
• Designed a processing distillation plant in Chemcad that separated ethylene from other hydrocarbon elements through rigorous and shortcut
distillation columns
• Researched the operating temperatures and pressure of all distillation columns to achieve highest purity of ethylene in the product stream
• Prepared specification sheets for all pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and flash drums
LEADERSHIP
BAPS Youth Fellowship
Youth’s Activities Supervisor 06/2007-Present
• Achieved significant increase in youth attendance through innovative planning and a more efficient system of operations
• Organize and schedule weekly youth classes, yearly cultural programs consisting of more than 300+ youths as well as coordinate and lead
weekly assemblies with other departments of the fellowship for feedback and for future event planning
• Empower and provide training to volunteers to implement creativity and positive learning in the classrooms
• Attend regional and national conventions and learn how to further develop morals, culture and values into the youths
Rutgers University Raas and Garba Association (RU R.A.G.A.)
Social Chair 09/2010-05/2013
• Promoted Gujarati culture as a dance team member at Rutgers University as well as various colleges around the nation through performances
and intercollegiate competitions
• Competed at 24 competitions around the nation as a dancer and as a social chair and accomplished first place finishes at Michigan, Maryland
and Washington, D.C., Miami, Houston and Illinois
