Gas Engine Performance Engineer (March 2012 – January 2013) – Contractor (Aerotek)

Job Description:

Six Sigma Green Belt certified

Group consisted of 4 Engineers: one specifically for G3300/3400, one G3500, one for G3600 and

Obtaining knowledge of all engine families to provide support to the other

engineers.

Create software packages and test data for production engines.

• Used existing field data and test cell data to create these software

packages.

Assist in test cells when engines are performing out of spec.

Create SRR (special rating request) data for customers requesting engines to

perform outside of nominal air temp and altitude.

• Any SRR data where the engine was estimated to run at 75% or less than

optimized power had to be approved through marketing, engine design,

among other divisions.

Project lead for less than 30 methane fuel project.

• I initiated this project myself after presenting to my supervisor the

amount of requests we received for these specific types of ratings. All

data was calculated and extrapolated because we had no prior data on

these families of engines running on that low of a methane fuel.

Customer interaction on domestic and international scale. Worked with our German counterparts

on multiple occasions for the G3600 Large Gas Engines.
