Equine Practice Management Group

• Responsible for engineering, maintaining, and tuning LAN, SAN, and WiFi networks that form the backbone for

not only the second largest equine hospital in the nation but also for the premier veterinary management company

in the nation.

• Manage LAN which consists of 102 devices (Dell and Lenovo workstations, HP and Ricoh printers and all-in-one

devices) and 123 users.

• LAN is Microsoft Server 2008 R2 based with Active Directory with separate OUs for each department, Exchange

2010, Remote Desktop Services for ESMS’ six field locations, a Domain controller, 5 L3 VLAN compliant

switches, router, and firewall.

• WiFi network consists of 10 enterprise grade wireless access points centrally managed and controlled by firewall

appliance.

• Also responsible for infrastructure, wiring (both copper and fiber), and troubleshooting connectivity issues, digital

radiography equipment, ultrasound equipment, printers, copiers, and security cameras and DVRs.

• Manage IT department with one technician, managing, configuring, and tuning virtual network on Intel modular

server with VMWare ESXi 5.5 with 19 servers, SAN and NAS storage, Veeam backup and recovery software

• Manage virtual servers for client access from all parts of the country via SSL VPN or IPSec tunnel

• Provision storage, CPU, or RAM to existing servers as needed

Physical to Virtual environment in order to host several nationwide veterinary practices. Instituted BYOD policy in order to

segregate mission critical data from public data. Maintained PCI compliance for customer credit card data for all practice

locations.

SWS Environmental Services- first hand involvement in several projects that netted $16K per year cost reduction of IT

services. Instituted several polices to effectively inventory hardware and software enterprise wide to ensure license

compliance. Instituted computer imaging process that raised device deployments from two devices to six devices per day.
