Ambient Vibration Measurement of Telecommunication tower

Conducting full-scale investigations of the dynamic characteristics of a real 111.2 m tall guyed
telecommunication tower owned by Hydro Québec and located in St. Hyacinthe, Québec. Ambient
Vibration Measurements (AVM) were done on the tower mast and supporting guy cables to
determine dominant natural frequencies, mode shapes and damping properties.
Performing Finite Element Analysis of Telecommunication towers using ADINA for evaluating
the accuracy of numerical models.
Performing numerical seismic analysis of telecommunication towers.
