A Game of You (02/2015 – Present)
Conceived, designed, and developed an e-reader inspired Android app designed to view Choose Your
Own Adventure esque interactive stories
Features navigation drawer and user-focused navigation to browse and view stories.
Allows users to view stories, resume stories (progress is saved automatically), delete stories from their
local device, and add stories to their favorites.
Technologies used: Android SDK, Java, XML, SQLite
Electronic DVIR Processing System (10/2013 – 06/2014)
Solution for major, multi-national retail customer designed as a three-way point of communication
between customer, 3rd party software, and Dickinson Fleet Services system.
Scheduled to run periodically and retrieved an XML packet from 3rd party online script
XML packets contained various data, including Drivers’ Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
System dissected the XML, retrieved the appropriate data, and processed it via SQL queries into
database tables.
System also submitted confirmation messages back to drivers by compiling XML and querying 3rd
party online script
Tech Tips Android App (08/2012 – 05/2013)
• Senior group project for Software Engineering class. Led group of two other students.
• Application collected various technical tips, ranging from MS Word to general Internet tips
• Application built using HTML, CSS, and JQuery, as well as XML to store data related to tech tips
• Utilized Adobe Dreamweaver and PhoneGap for cross-platform development
• Developed for mobile phones for patrons of the Muncie Public Library
