Resume:

Dear Potential Employer

My name is Jason McGinnis and if you are reading this it means you have received this

application through a 1 click submission on Zip Recruiter. I am a young energetic engineer that is willing

to relocate for the right position and ready for a new industry and new opportunity to grow as a

professional in a productive environment. Below is a detailed description of my career as it stands.

Please contact me if you would like to know more at 832-***-**** or ***********@*****.***.

I obtained my first experience using AutoCAD to design rocket cars in my high school and

became the third generation in my family to receive an engineering at the University of Arkansas in 2012.

While there I studied abroad in Belize where we designed and constructed a 100,000 gallon/day rapid

sand filtration system to provide water for the village of Steadfast. I also conducted research on the total

organic carbon levels in local Arkansas streams and worked on a team to design an R/C Aircraft for the

annual AIAA design build fly competition.

After receiving my degree I began a Design Engineer internship with Weatherford International’s

Surface Wellhead Group and was hired on full time after 3 months. Even though I was the youngest

engineer in my group by 8 years I managed to establish myself quickly and began working independently

successfully juggling multiple long term R&D projects, short term product modification assignments as

well as providing on a rotational basis direct on-call engineering support for a large volume of

engineering issues from sales, manufacturing, quality control and field personnel. Due to drastic changes

in our engineering team I was thrust into a role with increased responsibilities and limited oversight

including a project lead position for a large third party certified API 6A PR2 Annex F testing project. My

demonstrated ability to handle those responsibilities allowed me to be moved into a Development

Engineer position. Unfortunately changes continued to when the group move to a new facility I took a

positon in National Oilwell Varco’s Surface Wellhead Group.

National Oilwell Varco’s Surface Wellhead Group was considerably less established. While there

my work was focused on designing initial wellhead system products and laying down the technical

foundation for a new growing group. Standardizing multiple aspects of the wellhead design and drafting

process (drafting standards, part approval process, product specific engineering calculators, material

selection process, and high pressure seals) in addition to this I provided on-call and in person engineering

support traveling to local service centers to identify and address the functionality issues of legacy

wellhead systems.

As I move forward I find myself in an extremely flexible situation looking for a new industry, a

new challenge and a new chance to establish myself as a productive member of a team. In the past 3

years I have also become comfortable working a variety of settings; cubicles, test cells, warehouses, field

locations and the occasional burning buildings. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Jason McGinnis,

Jason Alexander McGinnis
