MISSION
To apply extensive academic and business experience to resolution and
solution of real-world problems is my endeavor. Among the most pressing in
the United States today is through community participation and advocacy in
problem-solving. Vitally needed is counteracting biases against women,
increasing recognition of their leadership abilities and contributions, and
enhancing their visibility locally, nationally, and globally.

2009- 2010 Preliminary writing with the academic dean at The Fischler
School to start a professional discourse in academic and
political views related to contemporary society.
2007-2008 Developed a project in design and evaluation for a course
emphasizing women in law enforcement and public safety
leadership based on andragogical principles in teambuilding,
communication skills, cultural diversity, and mentoring.

Taught grades 9-12; Child Development, Life Management,
Parenting Skills. Supervised and coordinated students' visits to
daycare facility on campus for practical real-world problem-
solving and exercise of critical thinking skills.
Created community musical trunk program, Initiated a leadership
program,"Boca's Promise," based on Colin Powell's "America's
Promise,"for at-risk student in the high school."
1972-1975 Paramus High School, Paramus, NJ
Taught grades 9-12; Exploring Childhood. Taught grade 12; state-
mandated
program, Marriage and Family Life. Developed curriculum for both
courses.
Worked with state Boy Scouts of America leaders to identify and
design
improved peer relationship programs for at-risk students. One of
only twelve
teachers in the state selected to establish a national daycare
pilot program
through a parenting grant from the Rockefeller Foundation for
high schools. Chosen by facilitator of this program to spearhead
implementation of daycare centers in corporations throughout the
southeastern United States.

Represent American artists in various media whose work
symbolizes documentation of contemporary social issues.
1986-1995 Tropic Printing Corp., Boca Raton, FL. Executive and Partner
Helped negotiate an entrepreneurial spin-off from prior
business and led
company from critical start-up through fast-paced and sustained
growth. Provided entrepreneurial vision and direction, acted as
catalyst for performance, and adapted business to community
resources to provide employment through cross-age opportunities.
Expanded company into international market.
1984-1986 Business Cards Tomorrow Pompano Beach, FL. Executive and
Partner
Developed company to become one of top ten producers in
national franchise.
Built strong team through improved training and use of community
resources,
such as employment of mature adults. One of the first companies
in area to
employ retired and mature adults.
1983-1984 Gifts Galore, Pembroke Pines, FL. Executive and Partner
Coordinated entrepreneurial business concepts for provisions
needed by
consignment shop for nonprofit community organizations. Opened a
second
successful shop in different location within three months.
1975-1980 Sir Speedy Printing, North Miami Beach, FL. Executive and
Partner During a national recession, used critical strategies
of government privatization to change direction of community
franchise from bankruptcy to solvency. Focused on outside sales
innovatively using presentations to encourage economic
improvement of community. This franchise became the mother
company's Florida prototype for national sales and product
development. Created new related corporation, "Carol's
Typesetting." When sold, franchise was one of the most
successful in company's history and reported in newspapers
nationally.

Following from initiation in Spanish River High School, developed
"The Mozart Effect" as a community musical trunk program.

Significant fundraising throughout South Florida among individuals
for this nonprofit institution. Developed and coordinated
interactive cultural programs, such as "The Intimacy of Chamber
Music." Chair and developer of "Children's Educational Program,"
enabling minority children to experience fine arts and musical
culture.
