Description : The automatic voltage regulator or AVR, as the name implies, is a
device intended to regulate voltage automatically: that is to take a varying
voltage level and turn it into a constant voltage level . Automatic voltage
regulators are widely used in electrical power field to obtain the stability
and good regulation of the electric system. In typical AVRs, switching is done
by electromagnetic relays, or servomotor, or electronic device, which
automatically selected taps in the transformer to get the required voltage to
boost (add) or buck (subtract) the input voltage.

SYNCHRONOUS CONDENSOR

Description : As the demand for the power increases and electricity is
transmitted over the grid power lines become stressed, which can result in
voltage instability and ultimately power outages. The key to preventing major
outages, protecting service quality and maximizing transmission capacity is
ensuring that grid voltages properly regulated. For this latest method is using
HTS DSC.
DCS design based on HTS wire in the rotor field winding requires only a small
change in field current between no-load and full-load. Also its compact size
and low-cost design very economic.
