Responsible for ensuring regulatory and financial success of twelve nursing homes in a three state

region. Establishes and monitors key performance related measures through daily review of labor,

aging, collection and census reports. Maintains regulatory compliance by setting goals and expectations

of administrators and director of nurses. Recruit, hire and train administrators. Conduct on-sight visits

monthly and more frequently. Establish relationships with facility staff and residents. Assist in the

preparation of annual budgets. Conducts monthly budget review to including weekly spend down

monitoring. Monitors labor and supply expense PPDs to ensure appropriate financial controls are in

place and to ensure facilities are adjusting to census fluctuations. Monitors Ancillary supplies to ensure

that proper controls are in place. Market the homes and corporation to local providers to assure

adequate census. Participate in and review all quality assurance activities. Participate in annual survey

process and development of the plan of correction. Provide assistance to the administrator to resolve

employee, resident and family concerns.

January 2007 to October 2013: Administrator; Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimons,

Aurora, CO

Responsible for the overall facility leadership, management, operations and direction of the

Home. Ensure the delivery of the highest level of health services and quality of care that is

responsive to resident's and customer's needs. In addition, responsible for ensuring the Home's

financial performance is within the established budget, while developing, leading and

implementing core programs to ensure the delivery of quality care. Implement the policies of

the Home and Department of Human Services by making operating decisions including, but not

limited to, general supervision, hiring and discharging staff, programming and integrating the

services of the Home.
