Professional Experience:
2008- Present: Mercy Medical Center - Baltimore, MD
At Mercy Medical Center I currently hold two roles Epic Technical
Coordinator and Sr. Systems Engineer. Please see below for my
responsibilities in those roles.
Epic Technical Coordinator
Managed and coordinated the implementation of a new EMR (Epic-Electronic
Medical records) system for approximately 100 physician offices located
outside of the main hospital. The backend infrastructure was designed
with a Vblock 700k (Ucs Blades and Vmax 20K). In this role I managed all
the technical aspects, scheduling, equipment, training, and deadlines for
the technical team. The EMR implementation and proceeding upgrades were
completed on schedule.
Senior System Engineer
Designed, architect and implemented an enhanced 2003 Active Directory
structure for Mercy and upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory
Directory Services. Architected, implemented and migrated approximately
5000 Exchange 2003 mailboxes to Exchange 2010. Architected, executed and
maintain the Blackberry Enterprise Server infrastructure and assisted
with Mobile Iron for mobile device Infrastructure. Assisted with the
implementation of Enterprise Vault in an Exchange 2003 environment.
Provide operational support for all servers and preventative
maintenance/decommissioning of systems for server hardware in the Mercy
Medical Center environment. Please see above for specific
software/hardware.
2004 - 2009: Strategic Enterprise Solution - Washington, DC
Senior Systems Engineer- Department of Homeland Security; Science and
Technology Directorate
Design, architect and implement a Microsoft Windows 2008 network for
research and development for Science and Technology Directorate's remote
site locations.
Senior Systems Engineer- Department of Homeland Security; Headquarters
Design, Architect and Implement Windows 2003 Active Directory, Systems
and Security services for the Department of Homeland Security with 6000+
end users and systems. Specific design and implementations are
enhancement of Windows PKI structure, Deployment of Winmagic SecureDoc
Full disk encryption, Encrypted File Systems (EFS), Group Policy
architecture and Administrative account functionality for the
organization's AD forest structure. In addition to the above security
related projects I also completed the upgrade of the Windows 2000 Active
Directory forest to Windows 2003 forest, scripted and deployed SMS
packages, and designed, and implemented a new GPO methodology for AD.
Another responsibility is the maintenance and upgrades of 200+ Windows
2003 Active Directory/servers for the institution. Troubleshoot WINS,
DNS, DHCP and Active Directory issues.
2002 - 2004: Riggs National Corporation - Washington, DC - Financial
Institution:
Job Title: Senior Network Systems Planning Analyst
Branch Technical Team Lead - Responsible for technology at branches.
Managed, coordinated and implemented the EPS roll out of all new
technologies to 52 Branches. EPS rollout consisted of all new core
business banking applications, 52 - Windows 2000 Domain controllers, 530
- Workstation memory and operating system upgrades, 189 - LAN printers,
and 254 Teller receipt printers. Implemented and maintained the System
Integration Testing and User Acceptance Branch and Call center labs for
pre rollout testing. Implemented and maintained 11 classroom settings
for Teller, Platform and Call Center training at 3 locations prior to EPS
Go Live. Executed and preserved a practice environment at each branch
for user practice sessions after their training prior to Go Live.

1998 - 2002: Absolute Quality, Inc., Hunt Valley Maryland
Systems Manager: Oversee System Engineers and provide ongoing training,
guidance and support. Responsible for analyzing, researching and
specifying server hardware and software requirements for the company.
Prepared for the implementation and migration from a Windows NT 4.0 to
Windows 2000 Active Directory upgrade. Researched and implemented the
corporate backup solution. Oversee Help Desk personnel, Perform Systems
Engineer functions.
Systems Engineer: Provide hardware, software and administrative support
for the company's 40 + NT, NT Terminal and Linux servers that serves
approximately 300 end users and three locations. (Hunt Valley, Maryland -
