Project Title: Elder Care Based on Cognitive Sensor Network (BE project)

Team Size: 3

Description: Now a day’s caretaking for elder at the critical stage is necessary by monitoring them, but

it is made simple to monitor by using a sensor network. This can be implemented not only for care but

also security can be provided by this system.

This system will be of good help and use in the hospitals. In night times it was not necessary to

monitor the patients by staying with them. Mostly patients will lie down on bed for rest, if he is not on

bed for certain time period there will be a bed sensor (pressure sensor) which measure time the

patient was not there on bed. This all can be monitored by a single person with a centralized system

instead of individual staying in each room).

Role & Responsibilities:

Design the requirements and explain the requirements of the project to team members.

Documentation and analysis of current and future processes.

Define requirements for reporting and interfacing.

Technical Environment: System with windows XP, Keil software

Project#2:

Project Title: Pc Based Data Acquisition (course: Embedded systems)

Team Size: Individual project

Description: Communication between the two systems is done by data acquisition processes. The data

transformation in this system is done in between the microcontroller and pc in Linux environment. We

can abstract the reading from sensors (i.e., like temperature sensor etc) and display the reading in pc

by using HyperTerminal for monitoring. This system can be used to measure the reading where

normally human being may not measure directly (i.e., like thermal plants etc).

Technical Environment: Linux Machine, Keil µvision3 software.

Certification Course:

Embedded systems(C, basics of C++, troubleshooting knowledge in Embedded C programming) certified

by vector institute Hyderabad.
