Conceptualized and created the complete supply chain set up for the NFS Project worth 2400 Cr
INR for laying of Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) in the seven states of North East and five Eastern states
of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Sikkim. 7000 km in North eastern states and 5500 km in
Eastern states in difficult hilly terrain.
Established and Created 6 Warehouses approx. 6000 to 12000 sq ft each for the NFS Project
worth 600 Cr INR of laying of OFC in Leh ( in state of J&K)
Was SPOC with clients for all Supply Chain related matters of the NFS Project leading up to
dispatches to our Warehouses for material worth 3 Cr INR.
Warehouse systems for receiving, accounting, issuing to execution team and reconciliation of
material were created for management of inventory.
Oversaw manpower planning, selection, recruitment, training & development for SCM for 15
Warehouses, Regional offices and Head Office. Staff of 5 at Head Office and Two Regional managers
reporting to me and I was reporting to President SCM.
Identifying exposures to company assets. Plan, implement & monitor security arrangements.
Mar 11- Sep 14 C&C Constructions Ltd Manager Commercial( Procurement)
Procurement of Equipment and material for all Power Projects of C&C Constructions Ltd. Projects
in Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Uttar Pradesh for Transmission Tower Projects worth 250
Cr INR. Handled about 15- 20 vendors for the projects.
Movement of Company assets from other project sites to Assam, MP and Nagaland projects to
optimize the cost of fresh procurement and saved approx. 30 lakhs INR of fresh procurement.
Procurement of Steel and Cement for the projects, Steel of approx. 42 Cr INR and Cement of 12
Cr INR for Assam Piling Project over a period of 3 years of execution.
Ensured logistics of Steel and Cement at optimum cost from supplier premises to our Warehouses
for 4000 MT of Steel and 8000 MT of Cement for Assam Project, 1800 MT of Steel and 1900 MT of
Cement for Nagaland Project and 2300 MT of Steel and 2800 MT of Cement for Madhya Pradesh
Project.
Inventory management at all sites of the Power Projects to ensure stock levels of 2 months are
maintained at all times for efficient support to the project. The availability of Steel was a constraint at
times required regular topping up of stock level.
Implemented plans in respect to discipline, administration & welfare of men.
Procurement of Steel Sections for manufacturing of Tower parts for Transmission Towers in sister
concern of C&C Constructions Limited - Case Cold Roll Forming Limited. Procured 2500 MT of Steel
sections for a cost of approx. 12 Cr INR over a period of 2 years.
Ensured steel was available at all times for manufacturing of the Tower parts and optimized the
inventory as per the client orders and manufacturing plan of the factory.
Ensured a hold on manufacturing process of suppliers to make readily available the raw material
at our plant.
Jun 89- Mar 11 Indian Army Lieutenant Colonel
Staff Officer in Army Headquarter in Capital procurement for Helicopters and equipment.
Processed the procurement of missiles, rockets and gun and Ammunition for 205 Helicopters of Army
and processed procurement of 197 Helicopters.
Assistant Director in HQ Corps and ensured supply of material to 70,000 troops in Punjab and
Rajasthan areas with a depot holding inventory worth 150 Cr INR of military material from 2006-08.
Deputy Commandant of Ordnance unit and oversaw stocking and supply of military material in
forward areas of Jammu and Kashmir to 25000 troops, stocked inventory worth approximately 60 Cr
INR, including stocking and maintenance of ammunition approx. 5000MT in the forward areas of
Jammu and Kashmir.
Deputy Commandant Ordnance Unit where relocated the entire inventory of 40 Cr INR from
Ahmedabad to Border Area in Barmer without any loss and within the stipulated timeframe.
Established the Supply Chain in the Border Area for 15000 troops.
Logistics officer in Srinagar Helicopter Base with 20 Helicopters worth 300 Cr INR. Ensured
availability of all spares approx. a range of 500 items for Helicopters to keep them in fly worthy
condition at all times.
Technical Officer in Bofors Guns Brigade in Delhi to keep all 54 Guns in serviceable condition and
also cater for spares of Vehicles for a fleet of 200 vehicles.
