Selected to re-build global Human Resources function, as a Member of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the
President/CEO. ~300 to 550 employees worldwide. Directed all aspects of Human Resources including Staffing, Performance
Management/Compensation, Benefits, Immigration & Relocation, Employee Relations/Conflict Resolution, Legal Compliance
and HRIS. Also managed Facilities and EH&S.

Designed and led a major restructuring of Human Resources which reduced departmental expenses by 20% while
increasing productivity and significantly improving customer satisfaction.
Evaluated insurance options and selected new brokers, resulting in improved benefit programs and a 25% reduction in
costs, which were passed on to employees.
Completely re-organized the HR function during a period of rapid growth. Successfully overcame significant hiring
challenges by replacing ineffective recruitment contractors with new staff, and eliminating the use of external agencies,
resulting in a reduced lead time for filling requisitions and more productive use of the hiring managers’ time.

growth EG&G divisions.
EG&G Amorphous Silicon, Director, Human Resources 1996-1999
This was a joint venture between EG&G and GE Medical Systems. As a member of the Senior Management Team,
reporting directly to the President, with additional responsibility for GE technicians and management personnel.
Built the HR function from scratch, including Talent Acquisition for technical and manufacturing, immigration, relocation,
employee relations, legal compliance, benefits & compensation development & implementation.
EG&G Reticon Corporation, Director, Human Resources 1982-1996
Reported directly to the President and challenged with building a comprehensive HR function for a growing company of 80
employees without any existing HR infrastructure.
Built entire HR infrastructure for this fast-growing company operating three shifts of highly-skilled technicians, engineers
and managers. Additionally, responsible for employee relations, staffing, compensation, benefits, Workers’ Compensation,
conflict resolution and discrimination/harassment investigations, legal compliance and immigration and organizational
development.
Led the formulation of all HR policies and documentation, including employee handbooks, comprehensive compensation
and performance management process and extensive recruitment and retention programs.
Underwent three rigorous Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) audits with zero deficiencies.
