WORK EXPERIENCE
Payroll Specialist
Cassena Care LLC. - Woodbury, NY - September 2013 to Present
Responsibilities
- Processing payroll for 18 different nursing homes, 13 of those payroll processed on a weekly basis and 5
on a bi-weekly basis.
- Making any necessary manual adjustments to employees hours, benefit hours, overtime and shift differential.
- Tracking employees accrued and used benefit time.
- Entering employee deductions and contributions to credit union, 401k contributions and loans, medical and
dental insurance, union dues and initiation fees as well as child support deductions and garnishments.
- Paying federal and state taxes, 401k, child support.
- Investigating payroll discrepancies and making and necessary adjustments
- Running and reconciling monthly and quarterly Union reports.
- Entering new hires and terminations as well as making any changes to employees personal information.
- Verifying any necessary employment or wage information for employees.
Tracking scheduled wage, longevity or benefit accrual increases
- Reconciling health and dental insurance bills against employee contributions as well as disability insurance
contributions.
- Performing monthly kchecks search to ensure all employees are in compliance and not listed on any exclusion
or sanctions lists

- Implementing 8 new companies expending our number of payrolls from 10 to 18 within a 9 month period.

Recruitment and Staffing Specialist

Responsibilities
- Contacting and interviewing potential candidates for per diem nursing position as well as guiding them through
the application and credentialing process before placing them with different nursing homes
- Collected employees availability for work and scheduled them to work on a monthly basis as well as filling
and emergency staffing needs of our clients.
- Audited and maintained employees licensing and medical records making sure they remained in compliance
and eligible for work.
- Secondary responsibilities included verifying that employees worked all scheduled shifts and approving hours
worked to be processed by payroll.
Accomplishments
- Helped department break records for the highest number of employee hours worked and maintained those
numbers for 2 months consecutively as well as reached the highest number of working employees and
maintained those numbers through out my time at Perfect Choice Staffing.

- Demonstrated strong communication skills when contacting potential candidate and interviewing potential
employees as well as when interacting with facility directors regarding prospective new employees
- Showed strong organizational skills when scheduling employees and collecting their work availability, also
