Defense Contracting

• Program management support for the F-35 weapon systems life cycle at the Joint Program Office (JPO)

in Arlington, VA. Accomplishments under the Logistics and Sustainment (L&S) Leadership team include

but are not limited to: meeting technical support (managed and supported the L&S All-hands

International Roundtable involving F-35 International Partners participation; coordinated the

Sustainment Baseline Coordination Board (SBCB), a Director's level monthly meeting to review and

approve all F-35 participant requirements; managed L&S Deputy Director's Newcomers Brief;

Manpower Personnel System Database management (compiled more than 200 manpower requirements

in preparation of JPO Manpower Management Council); Intranet portal page content

management/Communications (complete revamp of L&S Intranet portal page); Powerpoint slide

creation.

Communications Management

• Served as Editor in Chief of Forum Focus, the Business–Higher Education Forum’s (BHEF) semi-annual

policy magazine. Managed the entire life cycle of all BHEF publications and marketing deliverables

(view some of these at www.bhef.com). Forum Initiatives project management (as ex officio member of

the Public Affairs Committee); press releases; major reports; and media events.

International Public Affairs

• Planned, coordinated, reported, and executed actions for the Public Affairs Committee of the Geneva-

based International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (IFPMA) composed of executives of

major firms and national associations. Briefed industry representatives assigned to World Health

Organization (WHO) consultations.

• Managed circulation of Health Horizons, the worldwide news magazine of the research-based

pharmaceutical industry, with a circulation of more than 2,000 recipients. Responsibilities included

Access database management. Also assisted the medical news editor in article research in main-source

journals, control of manuscripts, and in obtaining illustrations from leading biomedical research teams.

• Organized annual pharmaceutical association’s annual conference at the World Health Assembly in

Geneva, Switzerland with attendance of more than 300 top health officials, ambassadors of permanent

missions to the United Nations, WHO senior staff, and other industry representatives.

• Prepared press and presentation briefing materials, bulletins, and policy communications for key

pharmaceutical association executives.

Founder, Director, and Trainer

• Launched and headed own company providing language training and translation services for managers

and executives of Geneva-based American, Swiss, and other companies in various industries/services

(e.g., aircraft, electrical, automotive, pharmaceutical).

Miscellaneous Project Management

• Assisted Pfizer Inc’s corporate affairs unit with the Geneva-held reception in honor of the Minister of

Health of Morocco during the World Health Assembly, and with the exhibit of the International

Trachoma Initiative (ITI), to control this principal preventable cause of blindness, particularly among

women and children.

• Assisted both SmithKline Beecham and World Health Organization in coordination of workshop on “The

Global Program to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis,” a Partners’ Forum held in Geneva, to prepare

collaborating institutions for the action.
