• Researched and wrote a variety of end-user documentation for over 20 Avid products, mainly designed

for video and audio editing. Worked on user guides, installation guides, setup guides, quick start cards,

online help, release notes, and tutorials. Used FrameMaker and Webworks.

• Created two installation guides written in eight different languages, eight mini user guides for Avid

plug-ins, and a chapter on the new InApp Commerce feature. Also contributed to a large user

documentation set and help system.

• Helped convert the entire Avid documentation set from FrameMaker, unstructured to DITA Structured

FrameMaker which allowed us to better utilize our source files for single-sourcing, PDFs, and help.

• Worked in both Agile scrum teams and a traditional waterfall environment. Collaborated with other

disciplines including engineering, quality assurance, marketing, and customer service.

• Served several years as project team leader. Responsibilities included creating project plans, advising

team members, setting schedules, attending meetings, conducting usability testing, and writing

documentation.

• Created online tutorials to teach customers how to use the basics of Avid products. Also created new

feature tutorials.

technical documentation.
