Mr. Johnston is a seasoned social science research and program evaluator.
He received his B.A. W/Honours from Queen's University (Kingston, ON) and
his M.A. from Carleton University (Ottawa, ON). Both of these degrees were
in research oriented Psychology. He is also completed an 'all but
dissertation' Ph.D. Mr. Johnston has conducted multiple
research/evaluation projects which have focused on 'at risk' communities
and under-served populations. Holding Native Indian status himself
(Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte) he also has extensive experience dealing
with indigenous groups as both a program provider and project analyst. He
has more than a decade of work history with the Correctional Service
Canada, often working on site at maximum security facilities, where he
dealt first hand with Federally sentenced offenders. More recently Mr.
Johnston has served as a Bio-Medical Evaluator for Lockheed Martin, an
Impact Evaluator with the Administration for Native Americans (on contract
through New West Technologies) and as the Senior Evaluator for the United
Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation. He is an expert running
complex statistical analysis (using SAS or SPSS) as well as teaching
university level statistics and research methodologies. He also has more
than two dozen peer reviewed publications to his record.
