Intern, July 2014- August 2014
Project: Glass 2-D Stress Analysis
● Supervised the critical process parameters to gain fundamental understanding of the causes of Mura issue through stress
data analysis and six sigma rule.
● Designed VBA model to analyze process data and trends to reach conclusions and achieved to provide correlation
analysis and suggestions on glass property contribution.
● Achieved to measure and analyze the property of glass through optical instruments.
● Engaged in working environment through Team Building Activities in Corning.
● Validated and improved original metric used to control properties of panel by statistical analysis and numerical method.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
University of Pennsylvania, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Philadelphia, PA
Independent Study Student, September 2014-Present
Project: Cover Layer on Catalyst
● Prevented coking and sintering of catalyst by Zirconia Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) method.
● Accomplished to build the program for GC in Python to control and monitor the gas composition of the reaction.
● Measured the properties of catalysts by BET and chemisorption methods.
National Central University (NCU), Dept. of Chemical and Materials Engineering, ChungLi, Taiwan
Undergraduate Research Student, July 2010-July 2012
Project: Anti-Solvent Method to Produce Acetaminophen
● Determined solubility, polymorphism, and crystallinity of acetaminophen by anti-solvent screening method.
● Measured and learned the property of different forms of acetaminophen and the property of solvent and anti-solvent.
● Measured the melting point of acetaminophen by Differential Scanning Calorimetry.
● Built simulation in MatLab to visualize synthesis of acetaminophen form II and successfully verified the experimental
result with the simulated model.
Project: The Non-Ideality of the Conglomerate Solution Phase of Aspartic Acid
● Built the screening model of the structure in different solutions composed of L-Aspartic Acid and R-Aspartic Acid.
● Analyzed liquid structure of solution by using Small Angle Neutron Scattering, Infrared Spectroscopy method and NMR
instrument.
LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES
