Project Overview

CVS uses Teradata Data Warehouse solution to store, access critical vendor

and customer information, and this project deals with testing of the

various enhancements and new business needs. This project also involves

testing Production support issues which are assigned on the go when issues

are fixed.

My Involvement

V Leading the QA team consisting of 8 members, co coordinating with the

offshore members of the team, delegating tasks and act as a SPOC for

offshore team.

V Providing clients with status reports, discussing regarding deliverables

such as test plan, test cases etc...

General Overview on Markdown system

This project will implement SAS Markdown Optimization Suite (SAS MOS) as

Sear's centralized markdown application. SAS needs a one-time feed of

historical data, which must be provided during the configuration phase, and

weekly data, for which permanent interfaces needs to be build. There is

also a need to regularly receive the markdown data from SAS and send to

price management system after processing the data. Markdown system has the

ability to process markdown price recommendations through exception

processes and send to stores

Project Description

This project basically deals with the development of new functionalities

(Like new exceptions) and enhancement of the existing functionalities

(Automating generation of reports) of the Markdown System of, both Sears

and Kmart. It also included the development to identify KMART No Home

candidates (Items to which no markdown could be sent via existing systems)

and create automatic markdown plans for those items. It will include

visibility to No Home candidates, back to home candidates, create automatic

markdown plans, create automatic delete plans etc. The front end was in JSP

and Java Script and the back end in COBOL - DB2 in mainframe.

My Involvement
