EXPERIENCE
GENSCRIPT
Piscataway, NJ
Scientific Liaison
2013 - 2014
. Responsible for increasing the awareness, sales, and
further developing GenScript's Antibody Engineering, In
vitro Pharmacology, and In vivo Pharmacology service lines
throughout the United States
. Initiated Discovery Biology projects totaling over $1M in
first year of work
. Built and maintained lasting relationships with top
collaborators from large Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology
companies by aiding in the planning of their drug discovery
and pre-clinical research projects
. Analyzed current and past marketing and sales data trends
throughout all company service lines
. Developed novel strategies using current trends in
biological research to help capture significant market
share in our newer Antibody Engineering, In vitro
Pharmacology, and In vivo Pharmacology service lines
. Analyzed possible M&A opportunities that would aid in
growing the Corporate Development business unit within
GenScript
UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA
ATHENS, GA
Graduate Genetic Researcher
2008 - 2013
. Worked on the evolution of epigenetic controls, and
established a hierarchy of these controls that contribute
to inherited disease risk by determining the importance of
DNA sequence on Epi-genome induced Pathologies
. Dissected various biochemical pathways in the plant
cytoskeleton, focusing in on the gene family, Profilin.
These Actin-Binding Proteins (ABPs) have not been
extensively studied, and from mutant analysis it appeared
as if they are essential to normal plant development
. Maintained plants by working in a greenhouse setting
. Teaching Assistant, Fall 2009 and 2012
. Trained undergraduate scientists in basic genetic research
procedures
GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY
WASHINGTON, DC
Graduate Research Analyst
2006 - 2007
. Developed a bioinformatic algorithmic approach to
discovering novel microRNAs and their target sites in the
human genome. The results were deposited into the RIKEN
FANTOM4 database in Japan
. Set-up and managed a bioinformatic environment servicing
multiple laboratories located in the U.S., Columbia, and
Russia
. Trained an undergraduate computer scientist in genetic and
biochemical research procedures
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS
URBANA, IL
Undergraduate Researcher
2004 - 2006
. Worked on the protein coilin, and its involvement within
nuclear cajal bodies in Xenopus oocytes
. Experimented with various Metathesis Reactions and was also
trained to use Nuclear Magnetic resonance both 13C NMR and
1H NMR
. Teaching Assistant, Accelerated Chemistry Laboratory, 2004-
2006
