> Led the consolidation of server/storage onto virtualized architecture for
New York Life and Wyndham Worldwide.
. Virtualized 2000+ Windows and Linux servers at New York Life, with an
average 20:1 guest to host ratio. Designed the vCenter organizational
structure and LUN allocations. Migrated approx. 80% of overall Shared
Services Locations, realizing an ROI of $12MM over three years.
. Deployed vBlock technology and virtualized several critical business
applications at Wyndham. Executed a 65% virtualization rate on Windows
and Linux in two years with a 25:1 guest to host ratio, generating a
$6MM ROI.
> Managed a major Microsoft Exchange upgrade onto a virtualized platform at
Wyndham, after MS Exchange Server 2003 was deployed with Outlook Client
2003, 2007, and 2010 causing several issues and outages to business email
services.
. Built a new virtualized platform; migrated all user mailboxes, public
folders, and distribution lists onto Exchange Server 2010; upgraded all
Outlook clients to Outlook 2010; and the entire environment was
stabilized.
. Currently working with Microsoft to converge with the other business
unit Exchange organizations and move all environments to Microsoft
Office 365 Cloud.
> Directed the build of a secondary datacenter and Disaster Recovery (DR)
shared services site at New York Life, with a capacity/design model based
on building new DR procedures, terminating the outsourced DR contract,
and hosting DR internally.
. Led deployment of electrical infrastructure, heating/cooling, raised
flooring, structured cabling, building security, cabinets, and a new
backup network and backup/recovery solution for bare metal.
. Facilitated the site going live within nine months, conducting the
first DR test two months later, with testing success rates improving
year-over-year and reducing the original Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
by 33% from 72 to 24 hours.
> Developed and maintained Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Wyndham
Infrastructure Services to meet business deliverables in a more swift and
streamlined manner.
. Designed a workflow process and single point-of-entry for requesting
and delivering infrastructure, including servers, storage, databases,
clones, and new middleware instances.
. Ultimately realized an eight-fold reduction in server delivery time
from request to deployment (from six months to three weeks), and
additionally centralized server procurement and slowed sprawl.
> Configured the Infrastructure organization to align with an Operations
and Engineering model at Wyndham, and began cross-training skill sets
toward a Cloud-based support model.
. Advanced skill sets and significantly improved incident management
metrics and service deliverables by providing formal cross-training

. Developed a SharePoint website to publish policies, procedures,
libraries, knowledge-base articles, SLAs, and standards.
> Achieved a 40% discount on software and generated a $1.5MM savings for
Wyndham by executing an Enterprise Level Agreement with VMware across
multiple business units, with discounted pricing applied to existing
support and maintenance.
> Recovered $2MM in support contracts at Wyndham through tools

ensuring successful backups of the environment for DR testing and
