Summary: CAE (Associate Degreed) Designer with the knowledge and enthusiasm required for a design position in mechanical,
architectural, or the manufacturing design industry. I feel my education and field experience would benefit both
company and personal goals. Long or short term employment however, I prefer to grow from within a company.
Proficiencies: AutoCAD 2000, 2012, Mechanical, Architectural and Revit 2012:
• CAD use in methods of creating site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, dimensioning, and other
related topics; concepts of layers, blocks, and library for symbols such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and
landscape. ability to create sketches from different perspective views, same basic plans as AutoCAD Architecture
with the added functionality roof plans, floor systems, ceiling plans, elevations, interior design, schedules,
renderings, and full construction document sets. AutoCAD 2000, 20011, 2012, Mechanical 2D, 3D
• Engineering Graphics – Knowledge of creating orthographic and auxiliary views using ANSI and ISO standards
to create detailed drawings by adding necessary sections, dimensions, tolerances, notes, and specifications to
multi-view. GD&T, fasteners, symbols, BOM, and fully complete working drawings. General understanding of
3DS Max animation and Google Sketch Up.
Catia V4/V5 R14, R19:
• Design Simulation for Manufacturing – PLM Process and Environment, 3D Plant Layout, V5 Resource Catalogs,
MBOM vs. EBOM, MBOM Creation. Simulate the assembly and disassembly of components and sequencing to
adjust each process according to design feasibility using collision detection, developing skills using Delmia DPM
Assembly and functionality.
• Fundamentals for Part Design – Techniques of creating parts in three dimensions and the basics of generative
surface design. Emphasis on sketcher, part design, drafting, complex and multiple sketch parts, assembly design
and animation of assemblies.
• Kinematics knowledge of both 2D and 3D geometric modeling, kinematic modeling and simulation of kinematic
mechanisms, generation of traces and numerical outputs. Study of multitude of joints and their limitations,
analysis, modification, and management of kinematic mechanisms.
• Generative Surface Design – Topics include creating curves and surfaces for product design and manufacturing.
Wire frame features, swept and blend surfaces, fillets, analysis and repair.
• Finite Element Analysis – Focusing on the preprocessing stage of preparing geometric models for analysis.
Define mesh of designed geometry, properties, loads, restraints, and constraints.
• Advanced Part Design for Product Development – Complete projects dealing with metals, plastics, and
composites to use knowledge ware, use of reference elements, assembly, relational formulas, reverse engineering,
and rapid prototyping.
Unigraphics:
• Developed skills in UGNX7.5 to create 3D design drawings using basic curves part design, Sketcher, Primitives,
Booleans, Layers and Drafting. Learned best modeling practices in UG I and II classes.
Manufacturing Processes:
• Knowledge of materials for manufacturing, the different methods of design through production. Hands on use of
Lathe, Mill, and CNC for basic wax prototypes.
Robotics:
• Programming Automation in Fanuc, converting from .ls files to.tp files. Teach robots with Teach Pendant.
