B.Tech ACADEMIC PROJECT

Title: Low-Power H.264 Video Compression Architectures for Mobile

Communication

Role: Team Member

Description: The main Objective of this project is to minimize the usage

of power in portable devices. Video Compression plays an important role

in today's wireless communication. It allows raw video data to be

compressed before it is send through a wireless channel. However, video

compression is computation-intensive and dissipates a significant amount

of power. This is major limitation in today's portable devices. Existing

multimedia devices can only play video applications for few hours before

the battery is depleted. It uses MPEG-4 technology, which was the

compression technique used in many portable devices.

M.E MINI PROJECT

Title: DTMF Based Home Appliances Controlling

Description: The main objective of this project is to control the Home

Appliances by using DTMF keypad which is included in a mobile phone.

M.E MAIN PROJECT

Title: Sub-Threshold based Pass Transistor Logic circuits (Arithmetic and

Logic Circuits)

Description: The main objective of the project is to design Arithmetic

and Logic circuits which are used to drive in sub-threshold region.

Designing of the circuits are done with Pass Transistor logic.

Ultimate goal is reduction of power consumption, which is the major

concern in portable devices.

Note: I am currently working on this project.
