. Saved client, Imperial Oil Resource (IOR), $ 8 million by
optimizing the casing design.
. Supported site construction for Kearl Oil Sands Project (KOSP) to
respond & resolve Required For Information (RFI) - Specification
Deviation Requests (SDRs).
. Created casing design method which is applied to all IOR oil sands
projects.
. Created segmental retaining wall project design for Genivar
(Terrain Group).
. Saved the client $ 2 million by raising the foundation elevation at
the entrance and exit of a water supply river inverted siphon
project through hydraulic analysis.
. Saved the client $ 200,000 by completing a pumping station
foundation excavation slope design through analysis of the ground
water level and geological conditions.
. Received outstanding contribution to KOSP Awards from AMEC & IOR.

. Kearl Oil Sands Project, Alberta, Canada.
Kearl tailings distribution extension project (KTDEP) detailed
design: coarse tailings corridor, gland water corridor, tailings pump
stations, pond, 72 KV cable haul road crossing. Casings, culverts,
underground pipe insulation and erosion control. Prepared, reviewed
all the calculation documents. Materials take off for overall KTDEP
area. Worked as civil discipline engineer to support site
construction for overall KTDEP area; responded and resolved RFI-SDRs.
Kearl initial development (KID) detailed design: Main plant fire
water system; Utilities area, ponds and sub drain system; Ore
Preparation Plant (OPP) area, hydro transport pipeline corridor,
coarse tailings and tailings solvent recovery unit (TSRU) tailings
corridor, reclaim water, basal water pipeline corridor; access road,
service road and haul road; tank foundation; casings, culverts,
underground pipe insulation and erosion control. Prepared, reviewed
all the calculation documents. Worked as civil discipline engineer to
support site construction for overall KID area; responded and resolved
about 100 RFI-SDRs. Saved about $8 million for IOR by optimizing
carbon steel pipe casings design.

writing.
. Beijing Capital Steel Iron Company Limestone Crushing Station:
Project Manager and Project Engineer. Scope of work includes
site grading, roads, conveyers, surface water and ponds
preliminary and detailed design.
. Huaihe Inverted Siphon Culvert Crossing Project: Project
Manager and Lead Civil Engineer of this $ 40 million (Length:
1000 m, 3- 4.2 X 4.2 m square culverts, Design Flow: 160,000
L/s) project preliminary and detailed design. Duties included
hydraulic and infrastructures stability analysis, as well as
culvert layout, detailed design and final report preparation.
. Huiyuan Community Storm Water and Sewer System Project: Project
Manager and Lead Civil Engineer of the project (Area: 50 Ha.).
Responsibilities included the infrastructures layout and design,
as well as storm hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, wastewater
collection and delivery calculation, infrastructure stability
analysis, and completion of the final report. Included
communication with clients and contract management.
. Storage Sluice Project: Project Design Manager and Civil
Engineer for the detailed design of this project (Height: 5 m,
Total Width: 40 m with 5 Gates). Work scope included the
project Layout, hydrology and hydraulic calculation, safety
