Web Application Administrator for PTI at DFAS.
I configure, build, install, maintain, patch, upgrade and administer
the DFAS mid-tier computing architecture including, but not limited
to, the Apache web servers, Tomcat Servlet containers, Solaris OS. I
configure, compile, install and maintain Apache server modules used in
all of our environments: mod_ssl, mod_rewrite, mod_weblogic, mod_php,
mod_ajp, mod_proxy_ajp module, etc. I configure multiple data
resources within Tomcat and Weblogic. I manage multiple projects'
development life cycles from an enterprise administrator perspective.
Ex: the myriad of details involved in bringing web applications to
deployment: app server, DNS, PKI/SSL configuration, IRB/IRWG approval,
etc. I routinely assist in the administration and configuration of
TSO-CS Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Of-The-Shelf
(GOTS) Software such as Remedy, LDRPS, Magnolia CMS, PKESSO, etc.
I look up and verify user account access to database objects in Oracle
10g/11g environments. I use TNSPing to verify communication between
web apps and TNSListeners configured in our environment. I query log
files to identify problems with applications, implement solutions to
problems, and provide application logs from production environments.

shell scripts to ssh into various environments to check on compliance
with various Security Technical Implementation Guideline (STIG) rules.
I work closely with our Fed. Govt. customers to schedule the timely
deployment of their applications into the TSO-CS production
environments. I work with customers to determine any custom
environment configuration needs their applications may have prior to
