Job Responsibilities at the different locations:
Presently, Since 2012 - At All Seasons Adjusting - Analyzed, Designed and
built a document library where Adjusters could upload their documents,
notes and reports. Cold Fusion was used for the framework, Jquery and SQL
Server. Also created a B2B Windows forms application using vb.net to allow
adjusters to interface with parent company by sending completed reports via
web services.
Created a tool to help monitor the fraudulent use of coupons distribution
via the internet, as well as an ebay monitoring tool, which would send off
cease and desist requests when fraud was discovered. This was a cold fusion
application using a MYSQL database on the backend.
2012-2008, At Sungard - Analyzed State requirements for 7 states,
determining requirements, Interfaced with different school district to work
out the best solution, and built the necessary web forms and reports to
meet state needs. This was the requirements needed for school districts to
report to the federal government on student metrics ( Health, Crime,
Academic). Asp and asp.net were used to develop the application, Ajax
calls, Sql Server. Also designed and built desktop tools to aid in data
conversions, script writing using vb.net. Agile Programming methodology was
used.
2008-2007, At Thorlabs, Created additional applications and enhancements to
an existing external ecommerce website. Also created tools on an intranet
that were used by the internal employees to help administer the website as
well as publish pages to the external website. The website was written in
Cold Fusion, using cfcs extensively, with sql server platform to hold the
data.
2007-2006, At Raytheon, Worked on the Cold Fusion applications, performing
break/fix changes, and enhancements. Was brought in as consulting expert to
work on a migration project, where existing applications were migrated to
MX7 and Oracle 10g environment. Cold Fusion, Fusebox, Mach2, Sql Server,
Oracle were used. Also worked on applications that needed enhancements as
well as were designed but were not completed, including a document library
publishing tool with more than 100 break/gaps in its requirements
2006-2004, At T-Mobile -Lead a team creating an Investigative portal.
Analyzed, designed and built tools to automate daily routines, also
enhanced a tool to organize their investigations. Created several portals
for the different investigation groups. Designed, built and rolled out a
cross department tool so that cross-department issues could be noted,
assigned, monitored
The primary language that was used was Cold Fusion using the Fusebox
methodology, style sheets, Crystal Reports, Sql Server platform.
1997-2004, At AT&T, Was part of the IT organization, eventually achieving a
position as an inter company consultant who would be called in to help
engineering groups with their own IT organizations to work out issues or
get started with Cold Fusion based web projects. As part of the web
application team, I was responsible for supporting 100+ applications in
multiple languages. Worked for the engineering department creating a supply
chain tool so that a saleman in the field could look down the supply chain
for chips that were in inventory, or being produced on the line and earmark
them for an order, or start an order, since the chip making process takes
about 45 days. This tool interacted with the foundries in Thailand to start
orders, giving them information such as the latest mask sets and processes.
The primary language for my portion of the tool was Java server pages, with
a back end library made with Java
Also created a desktop tool for the global support group so that
announcements and policy changes could be immediately flashed to all
desktops. This tool also allowed interaction between all subscribers. This
was done with visual basic. I also created a server monitoring application
that scraped the "Big Brother" pages that monitored the 600+ application
and database servers, and queried the applications and owners on the
troubled server, and notified the owners of possible application issues.
This interfaced with a paging system, and allowed subscribers to request
notification to certain outages. The primary language used was ASP. For HR
I created such tools as United Fund registrations, Resource Expense
monitoring, Affirmative Action Case Monitoring, and many smaller
applications. These were generally made with ASP or Cold Fusion. With the
Business Objects group, I made applications that monitored the 7 Business
Objects servers, Created tools that enhanced the functionality of the
earlier versions of business objects( earlier versions didn't email reports, etc. ), created a password aging application that forced a person to
change their password every 3 months, then sent the change onto the 120+
oracle databases that the person had access to. There were many additional
fail-safes involved with the whole system. This system was written with
Cold Fusion, then parts were rewritten in ASP.
