Acting Superintendent in QuikTrip Gen 2.5 Kitchen additions and work room conversions. I completed 13 renovations which added kitchens at 13 QuikTrips in Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria and Surprise without disrupting business operations
Interior work involved interior underground plumbing changes for the work area sinks and the new kitchen. The kitchen required the existing freezer to be demolished and the concrete freezer floor to be removed for new underground plumbing. A new electrical sub panel was installed with feeds from the SES for the added kitchen equipment, kitchen hood, make up air conditioning unit, exhaust fan and a new freezer located in the large cooler area. Openings were cut in the roof and structural steel supports bolted to the trusses for the 10 ton make up air unit and kitchen hood exhaust fan. Concrete was pumped through the roof for the new kitchen floor. The new kitchen included new tile walls and floor, millwork soffit and counter, stainless steel hood and exhaust duct, make up air duct, acoustical grid & tile, lighting and menu brackets with hardware for the electronic menu boards.
Exterior work included new underground sewer from the workroom and kitchen to an added 1,100 gallon concrete grease interceptor. Sewer penetrations required core drilling under floors at the workroom and new kitchen areas. The stores with back entries required additional sidewalk and/or parking lot cutting and replacement.
