Project Objective

Unity is the name of biggest global implementation project of Arrow Electronics Inc. The project is already implemented in ANZ, Europe [NE, CE & SE] and Asia Pac regions. The project is currently in implementation phase for North America and Canada region.

This project will be divided in several phases based on business decision and agreement. As of now the first phase is in progress. As part of this only OEM Computing Solution [OCS] companies will be moved to R12.

NU Horizons was using AS400 system and Arrow Electronics Inc. was running on Oracle 11.5.10 in North America & Asia Pac and R12 in Europe regions. The data conversion process was divided based on the regions. The Europe region was implemented in the first phase and followed by North America and Asia Pac region.

The data conversion process took around six months involving multiple test cycles, business validations.

8.GFS Implementation and Support, Arrow Electronics Inc. (July-2006 to Mar-2010)

Project Objective

The main objective of this project is to make QSP application (Financial System) obsolete from Arrow application and have Oracle Financials as its Financial Package. The project was done in two phases namely Conversion and Interface. The project objective was to move data on the Mainframe to Oracle 11i system. The project covered analysis and documentation of current system in specific areas as an when required by the client so as to come up with the new requirements. Applying customer specific business rules, data was migrated from Mainframes to Custom Staging Tables and from there to Oracle Interface Tables and then finally into Oracle Base tables.

The development was done in two phases based on the regions. The 1st phase includes North America, Canadian region and the 2nd phase include Asia Pacific region.
